LeonaLeona Louise Lewis was born on the 3rd of April 1985, is an actress, singer, and activist from Britain. Born and raised in Islington, a part of the London Borough of Islington, she went to the BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology in Croydon. In the words of the Official Charts Company, Spirit is the highest-selling debut album from female singers at the turn of the century. Its lead single "Bleeding Love" that lasted seven weeks on high on the UK charts, was the top-selling single of the year 2007. It also was the biggest-selling song in the US during the same time. Lewis won the Billboard Best New Artist Award next year. Echo was her sophomore studio album. The album also featured the hit song "I Love You" on behalf of Avatar. In the year 2011, Lewis released the single "Collide", a collaboration in collaboration with Swedish DJ Avicii and also her first extended work, Hurt: The EP. Her album Glassheart, her third studio effort, Glassheart (2012), was a departure in direction for Lewis and her music, drawing on dubstep and electronic music. Her Glassheart Tour was in the mid-year of 2013, and she started recording material to create her first Christmas album. Christmas, with Love came out later in the year and its lead single, "One More Sleep" was a top three hit on the charts in the UK. Through this chart entry, Lewis was the very first British single female to make it into the top five , with eight singles. This was more than Olivia Newton John's record of seven.
